At Tint and Wrap MN, we understand how much you value your vehicle. Whether it’s your daily driver or a luxury sports car, keeping it in pristine condition is always a top priority. That's why we offer XPEL Paint Protection Film (PPF) – a cutting-edge solution designed to shield your vehicle from road debris, environmental contaminants, and daily wear and tear. Our shop in Prior Lake, MN is your local destination for premium PPF installations, and we proudly service surrounding areas including Savage, Shakopee, Burnsville, Minneapolis, Lakeville, and beyond.

1. Unmatched Protection

XPEL PPF is specifically designed to protect your vehicle from scratches, rock chips, bug splatter, and more. It creates an invisible layer of defense, preserving your car's paint and keeping it looking brand new for years to come. Whether you're driving on city streets or hitting the highways, this film provides superior protection.

2. Variety of Finishes

  • Gloss PPF: Get that high-shine finish that makes your vehicle pop while keeping your paint flawless.
  • Stealth/Matte Finish PPF: Want to turn heads with a bold matte look? Our Stealth PPF provides a sleek, satin finish that transforms the appearance of your car while offering the same top-notch protection.

3. Self-Healing Technology

XPEL PPF is engineered with a self-healing feature that allows minor scratches and swirls to disappear on their own when exposed to heat. Whether from the sun or a little warm water, your car will continue to look fresh and flawless.

4. Durability and Thickness

XPEL PPF is thick enough to withstand even the toughest road conditions. It typically ranges from 8 mils to 10 mils in thickness, providing a robust shield while remaining virtually invisible.

Our PPF Process – What to Expect

We treat each vehicle like it’s our own. Here's how we ensure that your PPF installation is flawless from start to finish:

  1. Decontamination Wash: We start by thoroughly washing your vehicle to remove dirt, grime, and contaminants that could interfere with the film's adhesion.
  2. Clay Bar Treatment: Next, we perform a clay bar treatment to ensure a perfectly smooth surface, eliminating any embedded debris.
  3. Paint Correction (if necessary): If we detect any imperfections in your vehicle’s paint, we offer paint correction services to ensure a flawless base before applying the PPF.
  4. Custom-Cut XPEL Film Application: Using XPEL's precision-cut technology, we design a film tailored specifically to your vehicle’s make and model, ensuring perfect coverage and fit.
  5. Edge Sealing & Final Inspection: Once the film is applied, we seal the edges for maximum longevity and conduct a thorough inspection to ensure that everything looks immaculate.

1. Does XPEL Paint Protection Film come with a warranty?

Yes! XPEL offers a comprehensive 10-year warranty on all of their PPF products. This warranty covers issues like yellowing, cracking, peeling, staining, and delamination, so you can have peace of mind knowing your vehicle's protection is long-lasting.

2. What does the XPEL PPF warranty cover?

The XPEL warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship, including yellowing, cracking, peeling, and staining of the film. Additionally, if the film starts to delaminate (separate from the surface of the car), the warranty ensures that it will be replaced. It’s designed to give you full confidence in your vehicle’s protection.

3. How do I make a warranty claim for XPEL PPF?

If you notice any issues covered under the warranty, you can simply contact Tint and Wrap MN, and we’ll help you with the claim process. You’ll need your original purchase invoice, and we’ll inspect the film to confirm the issue. Once verified, we’ll work with XPEL to ensure the problem is resolved quickly.

4. Does the warranty cover damage from scratches or rock chips?

While the film is designed to absorb and self-heal minor scratches, the warranty does not cover physical damage such as rock chips, deep scratches, or intentional harm to the film. However, the PPF’s self-healing properties will address most everyday minor scratches that occur during regular driving.

5. Will the warranty be void if I don’t maintain the film properly?

XPEL PPF is low maintenance, but regular care helps extend its life. If the film isn’t maintained correctly (e.g., using harsh chemicals or improper cleaning techniques), it could impact the warranty coverage. However, proper care is straightforward—just wash it regularly and avoid abrasive cleaners.

6. Can I transfer my XPEL PPF warranty if I sell my car?

Unfortunately, the XPEL warranty is non-transferable. It only applies to the original owner of the vehicle who had the PPF installed. If you're selling the vehicle, the new owner will need to install a new film if they want similar protection with warranty coverage.

7. Do I need to bring my vehicle back to the installer for warranty service?

For any warranty claims or issues, it’s recommended that you bring your vehicle back to the installer, like Tint and Wrap MN, to ensure the highest level of service and inspection. We work closely with XPEL to guarantee a smooth warranty process.
